Francesca Lee

Some local talent today. I heard of her thanks to a friend, Rosemary thank you so much.
This young lady is San Francisco based, and from what I have heard so far has a really great tone, in fact a beautiful voice. Just listen to how effortlessly Francesca Lee sings these great songs.

I just love the "jazzy" feel of this song, but someone should get this young lady a bigger piano! :0)
Paper Hearts

Losing You

This video was shot in Los Angeles. Francesca Lee along with her guitarist Jeff Johnson were set to play at the Viper Room that evening. That same evening the show was cancelled and so Francesca Lee put on a free concert in the basement of West Hollywood Hostel (Banana Bungalow). The two had great performance that evening and despite the inconveniences of evening managed to still put on a great show.In this video Francesca Lee is performing the song (Losing You). This is where magic happens!

Finally they got her a bigger piano! :0)
Maybe Today

This beautiful, thought provoking song was written and performed by Francesca Lee with
Kevin Harris on Guitar Background Vocals
Shelby Grolig on Background Vocals
Gentry Bronson on Keyboard
Adam Lowdermilk on Bass
Doug Kyle on Drums

Here's a terrific performance I remember hearing on my drive to work a couple of years ago on trusty KFOG. How do artists "get up" for performing so early in the morning?
Under the Milky Way

Francesca Lee live performance on the KFOG Morning Show from Gordon Biersch Brewery in San Jose on August 21, 2009

Francesca Lee is the kind of artist who stops, takes a look around, literally breathes in the inspiration for her music. Walking the streets of San Francisco is how she goes about gathering her inspirations, she sees it all around her.
As well as her solo work, she headlines with her band the New Believers at a number of well known North California venues and is well known to the people of the area, appearing on numerous local radio broadcasts and has even played on the Born To Play Live Acoustic for the Gap.

She has a storied background, born of a Polish mother and a Korean father, her formative years were spent in California and Texas. By pounding the street promoting local music and setting up street performances she managed to scrape the funding together required to head over to Liverpool in the United Kingdom to take her place in the Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts founded by no-less than former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney.

Listen to more of her music right here.
