Mia Dyson

Today the lady sings the blues.
A wonderful new, to me at least, blues singer and guitar maestro from the land down under. Welcome to Mia Dyson.
In 2009 with three successful albums and four ARIA nominations to her name, Mia Dyson left Australia to pursue her dream of touring and recording in the United States. In 2012 she returns with a wealth of experience, both struggle and triumph, stories of life on the road with artists like Stevie Nicks, Dave Stewart and Chris Isaak and a taste of her forthcoming album.
As a fiercely independent artist, Mia went straight to her fans with a Pledge Music campaign where they could donate and pre-order her upcoming album to fund its release.
The campaign surpassed all expectations, raising 100% of the goal in a single week and continuing to climb as it powers towards its May 3 conclusion.

Tell MeThe official music video for Mia Dyson's song 'Tell me'.
The video was photographed & edited by Eddy Vallante.
The song was produced by Erin Sidney and Patrick Cupples for The Co-Op and features Erin Sidney on drums, Lee Pardini on Bass, organ and piano, Lisa Piccirillo on backing vocals and Mia Dyson on guitars and lead vocals.

Here she is a couple of years ago with James Reyne, kicking out the jams on Woodstock.

One more for today, this time a blues classic.
Rock me Baby
For the Australian Blues Project Mia Dyson recorded 'Rock Me Baby', originally by Big Bill Broonzy, but also played by Ike and Tina Turner; a couple of generations into the blues' story.
