Today we feature a local lass done good. And boy do I mean good. Wolf Larsen has a beautiful voice, and she writes songs that will bring you to your knees. She also plays a mean guitar.
Wolf Larsen is a San Francisco songwriter, writer-writer and Leonard Cohen lover. Best listened to by candlelight, on long drives, or walking in nature with a good set of headphones, her debut album Quiet at the Kitchen Door is guaranteed to break your heart -- badly -- but in the best possible way.
By way of an introduction check out this "promo" for her amazing new album.
This is great, with the help of Miss Erica's dance class at ACORN Woodland Elementary School in Oakland, California. Great fun.
Wild Things
For all those people out there who talk still talk incessantly about The Wire at dive bars (myself included)--here's a treat for you. Wolf Larsen puts the honey on the Tom Waits standard that was introduced to a wide audience as the theme song to the best show ever.
