Mezcaleros was launched a few months ago by a guitar player, passionate for the Blues and Southern Rock. His name is Philippe Marseille AKA Phil Mezcal, a French guy from the south of France, he has frequently visited the United States and in particular the Deep south. Where he has really become immersed into the music, the culture and the spirit of that region. He decided as many amateurs do to create his own version of the music in a home-studio. Phil decided, without great conviction, to put his music on-line, but things went really fast from that time with the help of a collaborative site which allows the artists to collect funds from the users to finance the fees of the recording and the promotion of an album. This money allowed him to book his recording sessions at studio Tone House in Paris (Joe Dauptain and Jean-Etienne Loose who are really good sound engineers) to prepare the future CD that is now available.
