For me Phantasmagoria was the third album of Curved Air, and the sixth track on that album. But now there is a group called Phantasmagoria. My thanks to My Old Kentucky Blog for letting me know of their existence. Strangely enough, or maybe not, they have a similar ethereal quality that Curved Air had.
Detroit, Michigan two-piece Phantasmagoria have a few 7″s out, but they definitely still qualify for New Band Smell. We first caught these dynamic youngsters, Lianna Vanicelli and Christopher Jarvis, when they opened for Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. at a recent MOKB Presents event. The duo create glitchy electro-rock/pop that still features organic, even tribal, percussive elements that are all sewn together under haunting, dreamy vocals. MOKB
